So, when was the last time I posted?
LAST THURSDAY!? FOR REAL?!
Oh no, wait, I got my dates mixed up (: It was this week's Thursday!
Anyway, Friday's Leadership Course was not bad at all! In fact, I thought that it was awesome (: We have to do this evaluation thing when school starts, it's on our performance and our leadership meter or something.
So, we had to go through 5 games station and at each station, we have to bring out the INNER LEADER IN US. Each class splits up into two teams and off we went!
First stop for us, the Poison River. *surprised oohs and ahhs from the people reading this post*
So, at the Poison River, we were supposed to use just one string and transport a water balloon from one end to another and our team (consisting of me, Noorul and Rachel) was the first to do it! Unfortunately the person-in-charge (PIC!) was not very satisfied with our job and told us that a bunch of ten-year-olds did something much better than us. So she told us to think of another way to bring the water balloon back, and we did. I thought I saw a look of discontent on her face...So, the lesson learnt from the game is: Leading by examples.
But personally, I think it's that the older you are, the higher the expectations people have from you.
Next up! Million-pede! So at this station, we have 2 mini games - one is that we have to create a tunnel by doing the push up position and we have to crawl to the end and continue doing that until the person at the end finally reaches the mini-cone. The next mini game is that we have to use our legs and hug the person in front of us, while using our butts (I thought of ass...) to move us forward. While doing
those we have to sing a song too and move to the beat! It was so fun! I think my butt got flattened ): During the 2nd mini game (the leg-hugging-friend one), Abigail accidentally pulled out Huay Wen's socks! Her facial expression when she saw the socks in her hands was
PRICELESS! And the lesson learnt is: A team has to move as one. If one member is too fast and is ahead, the whole team will get stuck - and this is true.
Afterwards, we went to the station called "Flippy Dippy". We were supposed to stand on the mat and try to turn it over with our feet, and no one is allowed to step out. We also had to stand on the folded piece of mat, and it was so freaking tough! Lesson learnt: co-operation.
The next was called "All for One", where we have to try and mass skip! This station was a major disaster and I realised someone cannot lead~ *sing-song voice* I am not trying to be mean but she has to have everything her way, sort of. I'm so glad it's an all girls' school, then it doesn't matter who "
she" is! Lesson learnt: Someone must take the initiative to lead.
I tried, y'know, but I felt woozy from all the kicks in my knees and shins that I gave up and just took off my shoes and jumped. It was really much easier that way, we could have broken the record (: Oooh, and here's my personal reflection! "Along the way in your project (whatever it may be), you may get kicked in the shin." Like backstabbing and such! Yeah I love that one!
Last and the least, Card Confusion! It's just like memory game, but only one member can go there and the others have to help by shouting to her. It's pretty confusing. At first we failed so miserably, but on our second try we won. We were supposed to sit on the curb of the foyer but as the game proceeded, each team slowly made their ways toward the tables. It was so intense that the PIC didn't even notice until someone said it out loud! Lesson learnt: We should not waste time.
And my personal reflection? "Every firts try is an experience. The next time is a must win!"
So that's the end of our Leadership Course! After that, I went for lunch with Chloe, Noorul and Dawn and the coffee shop opposite our school. Chloe left early though ): And from the way Noorul ate, I made up a theory: When you warn someone not to do something, they still do it. But if you don't warn the kid, he/she would
still do it!
Get what I mean?
So we went to my house and did the D&T model! It looks so cute now, sitting on my desk (: Did I mention that our History movie ass. is screwed? Leave it to the sick person to think of something ): Some symphatise me, others just...don't give a damn. How heartless those cruel people are *clutches heart!* ;(
So last night, after Dawn and Noorul left (I'M SO SORRY GUYS I CAN'T WALK YOU OUT AND KEPT YOU TWO AT MY TORTUROUS HOUSE OF DOOMED PROJECT WORK TILL SO LATE!), sister, Joey and Ren Jie came up for dinner. Ren Jie is so nice, I wonder why sister doesn't want to go out with him...unofficially. So I awoke to a male voice saying "who is that? Your sister?" And I remembered that I was wearing my Hollister shorts! *GASPS AND TREACHEROUS-SOUNDING SCREAMS FROM THE BLOG READERS!* So I immediately woke up and then came the pounding headache and the stars~ So pretty...Oh! So, anyway, we had Sushi Tei take out with Ren Jie for dinner! And then Zi Suo came!!!! We had some left over swordfish and tuna and we asked him to have it and HE DID! Mummy likes him more now.
I swear, I am never going to speak again in front of any of sister's male friends. Not any of sister's friends - shy away much? It just slips out of my mouth when my head is all heavy and I'm seeing pretty stars in the house ): You can't blame me, right? Again, sorry mummy and sister. Shirlene is a changed person, when in front of Ren Jie. I don't really like him now!
I should change into a shirt. Still have fever and am supposed to take the 3rd batch of medicine at 1am. I have so much more to say, but the most important thing is,
I MIGHT EVEN BE A ROCK STAR~ sorry, not that. Got hooked up on the song :D I just want to say that since school is starting, I will be using less of the computer - unless I really cannot take it! Gosh, it's like 2 whole months of rehab until the one pathetic week of September holiday is here, and during that one week I'll be studying~
Ooh! Here's a freaky thing. Remember Chad Win? (MAES! How do you spell his name?) He always walks past the lounge - I just heard something eerie, like the door's rusty hinges rubbing against each other! - and he's a STALKER! Okay, I made the stalker part up but he DOES always walk past the lounge when he comes home from school! I have quite a good mem...okay, I'm just lying to myself about my memory xp.
It's 12.24am now, should I take my medicine 36 minutes earlier? YES!
Meet the Robinsons is so nice (: Heart-warming and touching. Ahhh~
